This often applies for conditions that cause back pain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Core\nStrengthening or Flexibility Exercises<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the best ways to prevent back\npain is through exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you exercise on a regular basis\nit helps make you stronger and it is easier to control your body weight.\nLow-impact aerobic exercises can make your heart healthier and at the same time\nwithout minimal pressure on or chance of injuring the back or spine. However,\nbefore you get started with an exercise programme you should talk to a doctor\nor an expert first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Broadly, there are two kinds of\nexercises that you can do \u2013 core-strengthening exercises and flexibility\nexercises. Core-strengthening works on your back and abdominal muscles. These\nmuscles become stronger and protect your back. Flexibility training will make\nyour core a lot more flexible, along with your lower and upper limbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Diet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diet is also an important part of the\nprocess of preventing back pain. Make sure that there are sufficient amounts of\nvitamin D and calcium in your diet, as these are needed for your bones to be\nhealthy. When your diet is healthy it would have a positive effect on your\nweight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Smoking <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has normally been seen that a lot\nof people who smoke on a regular basis suffer from back pain as well. This is\nin comparison to people who do not smoke in the same age group and have the\nsame height and weight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Body weight <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weight you carry and the place\nyou carry it are also rather important factors in this particular regard. It\ncan decide whether you develop back pain or not. Obese people are normally at\nfar greater risk of developing back pain compared to people who have a normal\nweight. The same is also applicable for people who have more weight on their\nabdomen compared to their butts and hips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Standing\nposture<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are standing you need to\nmake sure that your pelvic position is a natural one. You should stand upright\nand your head should be facing forward. Your back should be straight and your\nweight should be balanced in an even manner on both feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your head should be in line with your\nspine and your legs should be straight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Seating\nposture<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you choose a seat for work,\nchoose one that provides good support to your back. It should provide you\nproper arm rest as well as a swivel base. When you are sitting you should keep\nyour hips and knees level. Your feet should also stay flat on the floor. You\ncan also use a footstool if you want. Ideally, you should be able to sit in an\nupright position.
