An injury is often caused by a twisting or bending force applied to\nthe knee joint, for instance caused by a fall, accident or during sports. Pain\nis your body\u2019s way of telling you that it has been injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mechanical\nproblems<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biomechanical issues are another\ncommon cause of knee pain. Some of the most prominent examples are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Loose body &#8211; if part of\nthe knee or surrounding tissue degenerates and floats below the kneecap, it can\ninterfere with movement in the joint and cause painful symptoms.<\/li><li>Dislocated kneecaps &#8211; the\nkneecap can be dislocated by a sudden blow or change in direction.
